It's really good to be home for winter break.
Like, fracking awesome.
I got a sweet camera for christmas.
My uncle Butch was an avid photographer, sadly he died earlier this year,
so my parents got his old camera from my aunt.
It's not the newest, (it's 5 or 6 years old)
but it is a really badass professional camera, (and has sentimental value.) it's a Nikon D70.
It came with three lenses, a medium distance auto-focus lens,
a macro lens, that can focus down to something crazy like 15mm (with some extender rings)
and an awesome telephoto lens that unfortunately broke in shipping. (hopefully that'll get fixed in the near future)
it uses dinosaur memory cards, the kind that hold like 256mb, but that's okay, I have like 5 of 'em.
I'm not sure of the megapixels and other specs. It' didn't really have a manual or anything.
Also, to go with it, I got his old leather camera bag, which my mom tells me belonged to their dad.
soo cool.
Also, I got a pair of really good sound-quality headphones.
Those are SONY MDR-v6. they're pretty cool.
additionally, a D&D book, and some random stuff for my dorm.
oh yeah, and a tripod.
edit:
for dinner dad brined and smoked a turkey. it was fracking delicious. be envious.
Edit the second:
so it turns out that the telephoto lens isn't broken, we where just too retarded to figure out how to use it.
schweet.
